YACEP
- CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM -
This course is designed as a Yoga Alliance continuing education course (YACEP) for yoga teachers.
It is accredited by Yoga Alliance
Taoism teaches about the harmony between Yin and Yang, the interplay of masculine and feminine energy. Yin and Yang are at play in every aspect of life.
The fast paced world we live in is dominated by Yang energy and our yoga practice is also often a fast yang practice, aiming at building muscle, while this teacher training aims at developing a Yin practice where we bring nurturing into our life, starting from our own practice. Yin Yoga gives us the tool to develop Yin energy to be able to bring balance to our life.
Yin Yoga works on deeper connective tissue, ligaments, tendons and fascia. In this training we will go in depth into each of the poses that make up Yin Yoga. We will practice Yin pranayama to balance our energy and some forms of meditation to help us tune into ourselves and move into stillness.
We will look at the difference between Yin Yoga and other styles of Yoga; at how sustained holding of the postures in Yin Yoga works on the connective tissue.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with set asanas that are ‘held’ for longer periods of time, which allows us to apply gentle pressure and compression on our tissues. The whole point of Yin practice is to relax the muscles as much as possible, to target the deeper connective tissues - especially fascia.
Yin Yoga is based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), and therefore works with meridians and acupressure points targeting our vital organs and balancing the 5 Elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal.
Yin Yoga brings our focus more inwards, and can be an excellent bridge towards meditation, or can become meditation itself.
This 100-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training gives a lot of importance to the physical and anatomical perspective of Yin Yoga.
Anatomy classes will be followed by explanation of meridians in Chinese Medicine and how the practice works on energy channels
Our 100-Hour Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training is designed to help you deepen your understanding and practice of Yoga
